I dont usually recommend just one tackle shop, as every one has a different style and approach to dealing with their customers but one in particular has really made an impact on me, Padiham Angling Center in Padiham Lancashire, the owner Steve is a top notch bloke always willing to talk and get to know his customers, if he does not have something in stock he'll do his hardest to get it in for you asap, his bait is second to none, his maggots for example are really fat and healthy, I've not failed to catch with them.
They cater for every aspect of angling from fly fishing to sea fishing, I've always found exactly what i need when i go in and am always eager to look at his new stock (like a kid in a toy store)
If you live in east lancashire or come over for a fish in one of our numerous lakes rivers and canals then pop in and pick some gear up you wont be disappointed

its a crap shop though mate, i prefer ozzy's thats much better and cheaper
ReplyDeleteIts not a crap shop, there is no need to slander someones business on someones personal blog, if you don't like the shop then its tough luck, there are plenty of other tackle shops out there for you to use, Padiham Angling Center is my favorite tackle shop, i don't use any other due to the fact the owner is a brilliant man willing to listen to what a customer wants and helps them no end, i don't see the owner of ozzys doing that often do you???? now quit posting on my blog if you've nothing nice to say

DeleteHaving looked at the comparative prices between the 2 shops, some things are more expensive and some are cheaper, you will find this across all tackle shops.

DeleteI go into ozzy's and its not half as good as padiham, matt's a cracking bloke ;) never been in when the other owners in, but from what you've said Rob, he sounds like a good chap :) good blog so far mate and don't let the trolls ruin it
